Hard Rock Casino Rockford in Illinois Will Open on August 29

Hard Rock Casino Rockford has a permanent facility. It provides over 175,000 square feet for gaming. The space also includes areas for entertainment and hospitality.

Hard Rock International has revealed that the permanent Hard Rock Casino Rockford in Illinois will welcome its first visitors at 3 o'clock in the afternoon on August 29.

The casino, just off the I-90 State Street exit at 7801 E. State Street in Rockford, offers an expansive 175,000 square feet of gaming, entertainment, and hospitality facilities. It boasts almost 1,300 slot machines, 50 live table games, a poker room, and a cutting-edge sportsbook. Visitors can also enjoy six restaurants and a Hard Rock Live entertainment venue on-site.

The construction of the permanent Hard Rock Casino Rockford in Illinois commenced in September 2022. By July 2023, the building's external structure was finished, with the final steel beam being raised to the top. This permanent facility will replace the casino's current temporary location in Rockford.

The Illinois gaming authority has extended the operating licences of seven physical sportsbooks, marking the initial renewals since these bookmakers commenced accepting bets in March 2020.

The Illinois Gaming Board's administrator, Marcus Fruchter, has been granted expanded authority in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis. This power has been renewed yearly, allowing him to extend the licenses of several prominent casinos in the state.

These include Argosy Casino Alton, DraftKings at Casino Queen in East St. Louis, Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, Hollywood Casino Aurora, Hollywood Casino Joliet, Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, and Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in East Peoria.

All of these establishments have been granted four-year license renewals, keeping them in operation through June 2028.
